Philippe Hottinguer Finance at Vinexpo Paris 2024 !

Our teams had the pleasure of visiting Vinexpo Paris 2024, to meet industry leaders and discuss their projects.

🍷In France, the wine and spirits market is absolutely essential:

▫ ~700k direct and indirect jobs (2.5% of the working population)

▫ 2nd largest net exporter, behind aeronautics

▫ Bn€ 22.8 in cumulated sales, up sharply post-Covid

▫ 810k Hectares of vineyards on the French territory

📈The significant impact of the #Covid crisis on the Wines & Spirits sector is giving way to record export figures for 2022. An indisputable vector of attractiveness, the sector embodies a unique savoir-vivre and know-how.

🚨 However, some SMEs in the industry paint a more measured picture and face certain challenges:

▫ Persistent inflation and soaring energy prices

▫ Impact of climate change on terroirs

▫ Strong competition between small players in the sector, facing the predominance of large groups

▫ Difficulties in sourcing specific raw materials

➡ It was against this backdrop that Philippe Hottinguer Finance visited the VINEXPO PARIS 2024 trade show, organized by Vinexposium, to meet with companies in the industry and discuss future projects. We had some exciting discussions with passionate people, and we’d like to thank them for their warm welcome!
